That’s right! We’re celebrating triple digits as of now, and have jointly decided to commemorate the event with a twist.
When the four of us first met we couldn’t help observe a striking similarity in style of the miniatures – each has distinct style, but they really feel like family members. The dramatis personae you have witnessed during the past year, even during the invitational, has favoured the segmentum imperialis with a heavy hand. But Iron Sleet is about more than the Imperium of man!
Thus we turned out attention to the second most Gothic of all star striding races, the Eldricth. The classic passage below shall be the inspiration of four different takes on the ancient race. To kick start the fall, (no pun intended) we have decided to give ourselves no more than a month from ideal to conversion to finishing painting them.
“Trust not in their appearance for the Eldar are as utterly alien to good, honest men as the vile Tyranids and savage Orks. They are capricious and fickle, attacking without cause or warning. There is no understanding them for there is nothing to understand — they are a random force in the universe.”
Oh that’s awesome. Any chance of your take on the exodites? Otherwise I’d love to see what you guys do, especially if there’s harlequins in the mix.

Seriously considering an exodite driven to insanity while browsing for bitz..

Can’t wait to see what the four of you come up with! I think it’ll mine some rich veins of creativity that the eldar often miss out on, compared to the Empire of Mon’keigh. 🙂

Now this will be interesting… I don’t see much of the creative flair that I love being applied to the Eldar – I’m looking forward to being inspired! Contgrats on hitting triple figures 🙂

It’s true, when it comes to the wonderful gothic strangeness that I see being applied by skilled converters to Imperials, Chaos, even Orks, the poor Eldar (especially the Craftworlders) are often overlooked. Looking forward to seeing you guys change that a bit!

Just as Forgeworld are updating Corsair rules as well, this will fuel my creativity as I slowly plan my own Eldar! Looking forward to seeing what you guys do with the dwindling race of Eldar.
