A very special reward to have the second installment of the trilogy also featured as I set sights into painting the third one. As I don’t really have the urge to go to painting competitions or such, these articles are the external recognition that feels the best, that shares the work to the widest audience.
The article showcases two new gang members that have not been widely shared yet. The gang, and Silas in particular remain very special to me. A critical moment in time when I had the courage to paint with more emotion, impulse and curiosity; and less technique, intent and carefulness. And in terms of 40K storylines, an interesting take on when that line has been crossed, but the motivation and results still fight the archenemy. Perhaps better than with more traditional means.

Mirrormaster has always been one of my favorites. There’s something about that top hat and his ruined face that sets him off perfectly.
