Seventh son of a seventh son. Thirteenth of his name… It has been a while here since last introductory post. As recently inaugurated seventh member of Iron Sleet it’s my duty this time to tell my story. While my name Jussi does not actually have quite the epic flare that the title promises, it’s still fun to look back on my hobby journey.
It was mid-late 90’s and Warhammer Dark Omen (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warhammer:_Dark_Omen) had just hit on PC. Having played bunch of RTTs at the time the game caught my eye. I had been aware of Warhammer but had not yet dwelled deeper into it. The game was awesome, and having just finished Lord of the Rings around the same time the fantasy troupes were recognizable while Old World gave it’s own interesting flavour for it. I was also heavily invested at model building at the time so the hobby side came naturally when I soon, after finishing Dark Omens, acquired WHFB 5th edition starter box. From there on I was hooked.

Early few years went by building my first army of Wood Elves (these guys are like army of Legolas) and finding out people to play with. I had also been impressed by MTG’s tournament scene so I went to my first Fantasy battle tournament as soon as I had my Wood elves finished. The tournament and gaming side was thus introduced for me on early stages of my hobby career and I enjoyed the events a lot.
Some time after that around in first half of 40k 3rd edition I picked up the rulebook (classic BBRB) for it, and again was immediately hooked. I was impressed by the lore and how unique twist it gave for sci-fi setting, which was later enhanced even more by the Eisenhorn =I= trilogy.
Through the years since there have been many projects and game systems to push the modelling and hobby side for me. Some these projects are highlighted below. From Iron Sleet I met Migsula early 2000’s in a 40k tournament (I have met all of my great hobby friends basically in tournaments, everybody should try one). Me and Migs hit it off with like minded ideas we had for the hobby and gaming, and have been in touch ever since.

Some of my work from earlier years. The Dwarfs have long history, tarting form early 2000s and latest units added around 2015. Also shown are some of my more modern Wood elves.
One of these sweet hobby and gaming memories is the Jade Vessel campaign we ran in DakkaDakka forums around 2008-2009, one of the firs Inq28 campaigns out there. Whole thing can still be found from depths of internet https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/0/208707.page

I have always considered myself both modeller and gamer taking great joy in both. This why its also exciting to join Iron Sleet where artistic aspiration makes great projects, but there is always a concrete end result (e.g. big finale game/showdown) to aim for.
Below some of my more recent projects of Adepta Sorortats my own Order of Celestial Lilies, Space Wolf cahpter Red Wolves (my favorite 40k faction, this is already my second SW army..) and my Kharadron Overlords (my love for the stunties lives on in Mortal Realms).

That’s my story, happy to hear from you. Keep an eye out for more stuff from me and other Iron Sleeters on here.
